Today I went to a barber.
I needed a bit of a trim to clean me up since the last time my hair was cut it was dun with some clippers and it didn’t grow out very well. So, today, I went to a barber here in the small town of Mildmay. Ralph was the barbers name, and he sat me down in the chair. Based on what I told him about myself, he correctly guessed who my parents were! Not bad, considering my parents have lived here for less than a year. Then again, my mom makes a lot of noise and is pretty much known anywhere she happens to reside. And its not in a bad way either. Withing months of moving here my mother joined a group petitioning for the building of a doctors office. Being very outspoken, my mother succeeded. As for my dad, he is just a super friendly person that can talk to anybody, especially his barber.
So, I sit in this chair, and I explain what I want him to do to my hair. Ralph does exactly as I say, and it looks good. Then, just as I think its over, he smears this hot stuff on my neck that smells like old man, and whips out a straight razor! I was a little intimidated at first, but I reminded myself that if this guy damn good at his job, he wouldn’t still be in business. I let him do his thing, and walked out of there looking better than I have in months.
My conclusion? Barbers kick ass!

small issue. I am trying to send you pictures but it won’t send to your e-mail (your adventureco one or the tap.poulin one). and I didn’t know how else to contact you, so you are getting a posting… hope thats okay! we also tryed to load the pictures onto the site ourselves but we may have messed some stuff up…. Blame it on James!

That is the best part of the Old Style Barber shop experience.
As soon as I roll into a new town I hunt down the Old School Barber where I can get a haircut and a SHAVE!! Good Times!
