Awesome Ride Home

This evening I was over at Paul’s watching some movies and hanging out. After the movies finished and the talking was over, it was time to leave. I bundled up against the mild cold, and stepped outside. I mounted my trusty bike and started down the driveway. Near the end I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. My first thought was that it was a giant green snake launching itself towards my neck, but after I finished yelling and biking into the fence I realised it was just one of those things you put on the end of a drain pipe to disperse the water, avoiding erosion.

Taking a deep breath and re-mounting my bike, I set off again. But now, as a result of being scared, I was cold and had to pee. I hate biking when I need to pee, at least when I’m in the city, because there is no place to stop on the side for some quick relief. But that wasn’t the last of my problems! As I turned onto John St. I was hit with a gale-force wind. I was now colder, had to pee even more, and was barely making any progress towards my home where I could deal with those problems. I’m just thankful that the entire route home from Paul’s is almost entirely down hill.

I made it home, and now I’m going to enjoy the first full night of sleep i’ve had since the weekend. Goodnight!
