I’m a big believe in forgiving people. I’ll forgive somebody just about anything, especially if its personal. I forgive almost instantly in most cases, and after a few moment’s deliberation for all but a few of the other cases. I recommend forgiving, because it helps you live without bitterness, and living without bitterness means living longer, and of course living longer means having more time for adventures, which is what life is all about. So forgive, your soul will thank you. Don’t, however, forget.
Forgiving is fine, but forgetting doesn’t work, atleast not for me. If you forget something that you had to forgive somebody for, you risk it happening again and again without consequence. This is especially important if you are forgiving someone for doing something to you. If you simply just let it slide, and you do that every time, then it might just keep happening. I’m not saying collect all the wrong things that you have seen others do and keep it filed in a little box so you can bring it out later for use against them. That’s you forgetting that you forgave them. Just remember that something happened, so that if it happens again, you can decide if you really want to forgive them again, because while forgiveness is great, its not the solution for a recurring problem.

Ha! If that works for you, maybe. But no level of beauty is worth getting walked on.
